Savor Safe Food is proud to feature food safety education and certification programs for employees and managers from ServSafe® of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals (NRFSP), utilizing training materials from the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA).
ServSafe® is recognized in 95% of jurisdictions in the United States and is recognized by more federal, state and local jurisdictions than any other food safety certification. NRFSP is one of the largest food safety certification programs in the world. Savor Safe Food has the ability to customize the content of our training to meet the specific training needs of your organization. Special note to operators in Washington, DC: Savor Safe Food instructors are recognized and approved to offer the food safety education and certification requirements for the District of Columbia, which have been in effect since January 1, 2004.
Savor Safe Food, offers a wide variety of short training seminars for staff training and development:
Employee Serving Safe Food - This focuses on the basics of food safety including Personal Hygiene, Safe Preparation and Service, and Effective Cleaning and Sanitizing. Each employee will receive a certificate of completion to recognize and reward participation in this food safety training. Instruction and course materials are available in English and in Spanish.
NEHA Certified Professional Food Handler - Recent local and state regulations require food handlers attend food safety training classes and workshops accredited by American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The ANSI-accredited NEHA Professional Food Handler certificate program is an entry-level version of the full Certification in Food Protection Management. Upon successful completion of the two-hour workshop, participants will receive an official Certificate of Food Handler Training.
Ohio Education & Training - Savor Safe Food offers Manager’s Certification Training & Ohio’s Level 1 and Level 2 food safety training. We also participate as guest lecturers for institutes of higher education in Public Health, Medical/Health Care, Agriculture, Food Science and Environmental Health as well as development of food safety education programs for food industry employees and consumers.
